Our world is experiencing a crisis like no other and the success of this pandemic being eliminated is driven solely on the individual using Social Distancing and not infecting themselves by touching their face.

Unfortunately, we, on average, unconsciously touch our face at least 23 times an hour.

The task in front of us is to eliminate the spread. With one of those is trying to control the final step to infection, touching ones face. We’ve been working on how we can help break that final link by creating a gentle reminder, for anyone who uses it, not to touch their face without intent.

To that end, we’ve created a very simple and inexpensive solution that could help people from, when out in exposed areas, accidentally stop touching their face. It is a simple set of wristbands that recognizes and alerts a person when they come in close contact with their face.

To prove this out, we’ve created a very simple and inexpensive working prototype. A video of the working prototype using RFID, found by clicking the ‘Face Shield Prototype’ picture on this page. Just click on the picture to see the video.

We think the cost would be low and we are trying to find ways to create and give them away or at the very least, at a very limited cost.
